Help Us Fill a Bus!
Donate today and be a part of DART’s annual Stuff a Bus event on Friday, December 6, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the SMU/Mockingbird Station.
What is Stuff A Bus?
Stuff A Bus is an initiative led by DART employees aimed at assisting families and individuals in need across North Texas. This event complements two separate DART employee-sponsored drives: Santa Cops and Comforting of the Souls. Each year, the DART Police and operators invite the public to help them fill a bus with donations.
What Can You Donate?
At the event, they will be collecting:
- New adult socks
- Blankets
- Canned goods
- Unwrapped toys
The socks and blankets will be donated to local nursing homes, while toys and food will support struggling families. Throughout the year, officers identify these families during their community outreach and personally distribute the gifts.
How You Can Help
While you are shopping, please take a moment to support your fellow North Texans who may be in need of assistance.
Event Details
Look for the 40-foot DART Stuff-A-Bus in the SMU/Mockingbird Station parking lot. K104 will be broadcasting live from the event until 10 a.m., and DART employees will be present throughout the day. The station is accessible via the Red, Blue, and Orange lines, along with several bus routes, and offers ample parking. It is located at 5465 E. Mockingbird Lane, just east of the intersection with North Central Expressway.
