Fried Chicken

This crispy southern-fried chicken is incredibly simple to prepare on your pellet grill and is sure to become a hit with family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 5 pounds of chicken breasts (butterflied and tenderized)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Preparation for Fried Chicken:

  1. In a small bowl, beat the egg. Add the evaporated milk and mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, paprika, baking powder, chili powder, salts, and black pepper.
  3. Melt butter in the microwave in a small bowl, then pour it into a shallow metal baking pan that can accommodate the chicken pieces.
  4. Dip each chicken piece in the egg and milk mixture, then coat it with the flour mixture before placing it into the metal baking pan.
  5. Preheat the grill to 375°F and allow it to stabilize at that temperature. Cook the chicken for 25 minutes. Then lower the heat to 325°F, flip the chicken pieces, and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until fully cooked.
