This crispy southern-fried chicken is incredibly simple to prepare on your pellet grill and is sure to become a hit with family and friends.
Ingredients:
- 5 pounds of chicken breasts (butterflied and tenderized)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Preparation for Fried Chicken:
- In a small bowl, beat the egg. Add the evaporated milk and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, paprika, baking powder, chili powder, salts, and black pepper.
- Melt butter in the microwave in a small bowl, then pour it into a shallow metal baking pan that can accommodate the chicken pieces.
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg and milk mixture, then coat it with the flour mixture before placing it into the metal baking pan.
- Preheat the grill to 375°F and allow it to stabilize at that temperature. Cook the chicken for 25 minutes. Then lower the heat to 325°F, flip the chicken pieces, and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until fully cooked.
