Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
– 1 pound ground turkey
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 cups water
– 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
– 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans
– 1 tablespoon minced garlic
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned. Incorporate the chopped onion and continue cooking until it becomes soft.
2. Add water to the pot, along with the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and minced garlic. Season the mixture with chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil. Then, lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for 45 minutes.
