
Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/3 cup granulated white sugar
– 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
– 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter
– 1/2 cup cold heavy whipping cream
– 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt by whisking together.
3. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and mix it in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Gradually add the cold cream and vanilla extract while continuing to mix.
5. Use your hands to form the mixture into a dough ball, then divide it into three equal sections.
6. With a sharp knife, cut each section into your preferred number of triangles.
7. Adjust the size of your triangles based on whether you want small or large scones.
8. Bake the scones for 16 to 20 minutes until they are set in the center and lightly golden on the bottom.
9. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
10. Drizzle a bit of glaze over each scone.
