Light Farms, a 1,070-acre master-planned community, is streamlining the moving process for those with tight schedules by providing move-in ready homes. The community plans to construct a total of 3,000 residences, accommodating an expected population of 10,000 residents. Prospective homeowners can choose from eight reputable builders known across the country. Light Farms is situated less than 15 minutes from some of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment options in the DFW area, with a new exit off the Dallas North Tollway planned as a convenient access road into the community. Offering designs for every taste, homes are priced from the $240s to the $700s, with lot sizes ranging from 50 to 90 feet—ensuring you can settle in before the school year begins.

And speaking of schools… Living here means your child will receive an excellent education at the forthcoming Light Farms Elementary School. This school is part of the distinguished Prosper Independent School District (ISD) that is renowned for its excellence and rapid growth. Understanding the importance of quality education in fostering vibrant communities, developer Republic Property Group (RPG) has designed Light Farms so that children can walk or bike to school safely. RPG pledged 11 acres of land within Light Farms and contributed $2 million to Prosper ISD to build the elementary school, with plans for additional on-site schools and daycare facilities in future phases. If you have teenagers, you’ll be pleased to know that the new $113.5 million high school by Prosper ISD is adjacent to the community.

According to RPG Marketing Coordinator Stephanie Liebbe, Light Farms was envisioned to “transform families’ perceptions of suburban living.” Established in 2012, this award-winning community in Collin County is “crafted to foster connections among residents and inspire a healthy, vibrant lifestyle” says Liebbe. A variety of community events, including concert series, farm-to-table dinners, field days, and movie nights, are scheduled on the central lawn to encourage interaction. The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program offers fresh organic produce shares (which can be pre-purchased online) from the local farm Johnson’s Backyard Garden, with distributions occurring every Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm at the Farm Stand in the central Barn Yard. The Farm Stand also hosts a natural food co-op program providing items like grass-fed beef, organic cheese, coffee, nuts, and skincare products, available to both Light Farms residents and the nearby community.

Light Farms also emphasizes health and wellness for its residents with various amenities, including a fitness center, four resort-style pools, and four tennis courts. New features such as basketball and bocce ball courts are available, with plans for pickleball and sand volleyball courts coming soon.

Scenic hiking and biking trails weave throughout Light Farms, promoting an active lifestyle for families, complemented by a bike-sharing program. Furthermore, the community boasts 132 acres of well-maintained green spaces, including a greenbelt, playgrounds, pocket parks, and an expansive lake system.
