About the Grant Halliburton Foundation
The Grant Halliburton Foundation (GHF) was founded in 2006 to honor the memory of Grant Halliburton, a teenager from Dallas who struggled with depression and bipolar disorder before his tragic death by suicide at the age of 19.
This foundation aims to support families and young people in identifying the signs of mental illness through various means, including mental health education, collaboration, encouragement, and the dissemination of information.
Programs and Resources
The Grant Halliburton Foundation provides a range of programs, presentations, and an annual conference focused on mental health and wellness.
Additionally, the foundation developed Here For Texas, which consists of HereForTexas.com, a searchable online database of mental health resources in Texas, and the Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line, a helpline that is free of charge. These community resources are designed to facilitate access for Texans seeking information and support regarding mental health and addiction.
