The Grant Halliburton Foundation (GHF) was founded in 2006 to honor Grant Halliburton, a young man from Dallas who struggled with depression and bipolar disorder for several years before his tragic passing at the age of 19.
This foundation aims to assist families and young individuals in identifying the signs of mental health issues through various means, including mental health education, collaborative efforts, motivation, and the dissemination of information.
The Grant Halliburton Foundation provides an array of programs, presentations, and hosts an annual conference focused on mental health and wellness.
Additionally, the Foundation created Here For Texas, which includes HereForTexas.com, an online platform for accessing a database of mental health resources throughout Texas, along with the Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line, a complimentary helpline. These community resources are designed to make it easier for Texans to find mental health and addiction support and information.
