Sausage, Kale, and Honey Chili

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 each of red, green, and yellow bell peppers
- 1 large jalapeño pepper
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound kale, chopped
- 2 (15-ounce) cans fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 (15-ounce) can cannellini beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can red kidney beans
- 3 cups vegetable or chicken stock
- 1/3 cup Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 tablespoons cornmeal
Instructions
Begin by browning the sausage and turkey. Finely chop the peppers, onion, and garlic. In a large soup pot, heat the olive oil and add the chopped vegetables. Stir over medium heat until they are softened. Then add the meats and all other ingredients. Stir continuously to avoid burning. The chili is ready as soon as it’s heated through.
Tip: This chili is delicious served over nachos or garlic toast. Enjoy it hot with cornbread or biscuits.
